In the late 50's and early 60's Clint Howard played with Fred Price, Clarence "Tom" Ashley and Doc Watson.  They played at the University of California, the Newport Folk Festival, and Price, Watson and Howard played at Carnegie Hall.

In the 70's Clint Howard and Fred Price formed a band with their son's called Clint Howard, Fred Price and Sons.  The band had show dates at the Smithsonian, Washington, DC, the 1982 World's Fair in Knoxville, Tennessee, and the National Folk Festival Wolf Trap Farm Park in Vienna, Virginia.
